Out to Find Freedom by Lila Rose
Genres: Contemporary Romance
Death and pain.
They surround me. Hold me hostage, refusing to let go.
But I want to survive. Want to fight. I just don’t know if I have it in me.
Maybe dying would be better.
It’s the break in the shadows that gives me hope.
When I look at him, all I can see is light.
So now I’m out to find freedom.Private investigator Ryan Warden doesn’t know he’s moved next door to people he would put behind bars in an instant. Nor does he realise a sleepless night could lead him on the right track with the case he’s working on.
He certainly doesn’t expect Emerson Spence.
What he does know is he has to stay away from her. She’s been beaten and broken. She deserves to live freely while learning and experiencing things in life like any young woman should.
He’s too old for her. It’s better to stay away.
If he can.

Talk about a book that will gut you. This book had me in tears with just a few pages in. I will say though that Lila Rose tells you before you even begin the book that the first half of this may be difficult to read but that it does get better. She was not kidding.
Warden has always been a favorite character of mine. I loved him in all of the Hawks MC books. He is just one of those supporting characters that the author never plans to write a story about but then the readers fall so much in love with that she has to write a story.

Emerson was heartbreaking for me. What she went through tugged at my heartstrings but the way she came out the other side made me love her all the more. She spent years in hell and then one look, one voice gives her a reason to hold on.
Julian was awesome in this book as always! I love how they guys were all “Call him.” They don’t even say who him is but the moment he enters the scene you know why they called him. Julian is the guy who could make the Pope tell all of his secrets. He has such a warmth to him and he understands pain better than most. If you have never read any of the Hawks MC books then I recommend them for Julian alone.

This book sounds good and very interesting, I can understand that he want to stay away from her to allow her to explore life on her own but the ? still remains, does he, really want that .
