Book Quotes + Rain Rain Go Away Giveaway Hop

Have you checked out my book quotes yet? Well I wanted to share a few of my favorite ones with and also to share and amazing giveaway hop with you. One that I am certain you all will enjoy. I do need to first thank The Mommy Island and The Kids Did It for hosting this hop.

Sometimes you read a book and a character just makes you laugh so hard. For me a lot of the times it is the little kids. In Harper Sloan’s Corps Security Series we meet Cohen who is totally adorable but he has a think about wieners (and the jewelry they sometimes contain.) He is always calling out the adults. Ironically he is the first book in her Hope Town spin off series and well, there is a moment that brings it all full circle.

Girls aren’t suppose to see wieners, Aunt Dee. And Daddy’s wiener was mad that Mommy saw. It was so mad it was pointing at her!

Other times you read a book or series and just fall in love. It was that way for me when it comes to Kane from Guardian Angel by Abbie Zanders. The entire series is good but there was something about Kane that just drew me in. He was so quiet and had such a I will kill you vibe about him. Well let me tell you that still waters run deep when it comes to him and his croie.

When she looked at him like that, he forgot who he was, what he was. They offered absolution, redemption, and salvation. And he didn’t deserve – or want any of it.

Then there is the author who creates a character that you live to read about. That is what the result was when it came to Ian Taggert from Lexi Blake. Everything out of that man’s mouth usually has me rolling with laughter. There are tears sometimes. I shared a quote below but that link up there leads to so many other quotes from her that really will make you laugh.

“Relax, brother. I don’t want to have to sedate you.” Ian kept a tight grip.

“You should do as he says.” Case was standing over him as though waiting for him to flip his shit again. “Big brother has a plan in place. We’ve got tranquilizer guns stashed around the office just in case.”

“I like to call it Operation Sleepytime.” Ian forced him to his seat, but Theo was already coming down.

“I call it Operation You’re An A**h*le,” Adam replied.

Ian grinned down at him. “I might have tested it out on Adam.”
